Covid-19 drastically changed the business landscape across the world and many people were forced to pivot, trying out things that they have never done before or branching out to other industries that previously would have been unheard of. This much is true in the world of fashion! To maintain success during the pandemic, designers have started to create mutually beneficial relationships with other types of businesses, ushering in a new era of "collabs". We have all seen the Supreme harmonicas and hammers, and the Off-White x Ikea furniture, but what about interior design and real estate development?
While "collabs" are trending now, it is actually a tradition that can date back to pre-pandemic times. In the past, couturiers have stretched their design chops over to interiors, showcasing that they are more than just pretty dresses and handbags. And this trend proved to be quite lucrative, with many labels we love today jumping on the chance to open their own high-designed properties recently and in the years to come. So, here's a list of beautiful hotels that intersect two of my favorite topics of all-time: fashion and interior design. And a sneak preview into what may be around the corner next.

6. The Karl Lagerfeld, Macau (2021)
This tower of a hotel is the only one in the world that was entirely designed by the late and great Karl Lagerfeld. The Chanel director also did a number of hospitality projects in the past. Such as the Fendi Private Suites in 2015 and Les Grands Appartements in Hotel de Crillon in 2017. Makes me think of this year's Met Gala, honoring the fashion legend.

9. Vermelho, Christian Louboutin (2023)
One of my favorite interior decor spaces this year! Every piece in the hotel, from the sculptures to the doors, have been handcrafted by excellent artisans. The space was inspired by Louboutin's many trips and stays in Portugal. A must-stay if you get the chance.
